Press Release: Tyler Technologies Team Members and Veterans Group Support Hidden Pastures’ Mission for Mental Health
Wylie, TX – October 31st, 2025
Team members from Tyler Technologies and the Tyler Military Veterans (TMV) joined together this October to support Hidden Pastures, a Wylie-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing mental health services through equine-assisted therapy and coaching for veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, and adolescents.
The event, Hidden Pastures’ Fall Festival, welcomed more than 500 visitors to the farm for a day of connection, education, and community. Guests enjoyed pony rides, a petting zoo, and photo opportunities with the farm’s miniature ponies, while local vendors added to the festive atmosphere. The event was staffed and supported by members of the Wylie East FFA, whose enthusiasm and dedication helped ensure a meaningful experience for all who attended.

Christina Thomas (a Wylie Local) and Dennis Dauenhauer, who both serve on the board of the Tyler Veterans Group, volunteered at the event as part of Tyler Cares, Tyler Technologies’ company-wide initiative that encourages employees to give back to their communities through volunteerism and service.
Dennis’s upbeat personality made him a perfect fit for the farm’s concierge driving service, shuttling guests from parking areas and spreading smiles throughout the day. Christina greeted visitors at the entrance, sharing information about the organization’s mission and programs. Her personal connection—her husband is a Purple Heart Veteran—underscored the shared commitment to supporting veterans and first responders in their healing journeys.
Founded by Allie McCutcheon, a U.S. Army veteran and the organization’s primary founder and owner, alongside her partner Brian Heid, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and also a Tyler Technologies Courts & Justice employee, Hidden Pastures uses a unique approach to emotional well-being: guided, non-verbal connection with animals in a quiet, natural setting. Their mission is to provide a safe and healing environment where individuals can reconnect with themselves, others, and nature through the wisdom of horses.
Hidden Pastures continues to be a cornerstone of compassionate outreach in Wylie, demonstrating how community partnerships and shared purpose can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who serve and those who heal.
“There are so many people carrying pain they don’t talk about,” said Brian. “We created Hidden Pastures so they don’t have to carry it alone. Whether it’s trauma, burnout, or simply needing time to breathe, this is a place to reconnect—with peace, with purpose, and with themselves.”
