News Release: 9/22/2025
When crisis strikes, most people run away.We run toward it.
The Texas Emergency Crisis Response Team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of trained first responders—law enforcement officers, firefighters, veterans, ministers, and counselors—coming together as volunteers to serve on the front lines of tragedy.
We respond after mass shootings, natural disasters, the sudden death of a first responder, violent crimes, and in those critical moments when a suicide might still be prevented. In those dark hours, we bring a caring and stable presence.
Our team offers spiritual care, emotional support, situational counseling, vital resources, and ongoing guidance for individuals and families facing trauma.
If you have the heart, the courage, and the calling, there’s a place for you here. Join us and step into the gap for those who need hope most.
We also depend on donations to fuel this mission—covering transportation, lodging, meals, equipment, and vehicles. Every dollar directly helps us answer the call when disaster strikes.
The Texas Emergency Crisis Response Team—running toward crisis with courage, compassion, and faith.
