Show Synopsis: | It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast. Actors portray numerous characters, and sound effects are done through Foley artists. It’s a Wonderful Life is about the life of George Bailey, a generous and well-meaning man who has become too downcast and tired to continue living. It will take help from a lovable angel to show George what life would be like if he weren’t born for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of the holidays. |

Audition Date Details: | Audition Appointments: Aug. 31st & Sept. 2nd Auditions will be held, in person by appointment only, in the Wylie Acting Group theatre at 205 Industrial Court in Wylie. Once you have registered online, you will receive a link to select a specific audition time. We ask that you stay in your car until your specific call time – a WAG volunteer will come to the door and let you in when the audition committee is ready for you. When you come in you will have your photo taken for the Starboard. Please do not bring props to the audition. Also, the casting committee requests that you do not wear costumes or face paint. Everyone will be expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines during the audition. |

Audition Requirements: | High School students & Adults Arrive at scheduled call time – wait in car until called Plan to stay until about 15 minutes. If you do not drive, please have your ride plan to wait for you – you will need to leave the theatre as soon as your audition is complete. For your audition, you will need to prepare a will prepare (3) of the monologue sides below and be able to demonstrate your ability to differentiate between characters – some cast members may selected to voice more than one character. Sides do not have to be memorized and scripts may be used but you need to know the selected sides well. |
