Description
Join the Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce for our annual luncheon spotlighting the impactful work of area non‑profit organizations in celebration of North Texas Giving Day on September 17th.
From 11:00–11:30 AM, each attending non‑profit will host an informational table in the lobby. This is your chance to explore how businesses can support local causes, form meaningful partnerships, and engage with community leaders.
Why Attend
This event is ideal for business leaders who want to deepen community ties, discover volunteer or sponsorship opportunities, and collaborate with mission-driven organizations. Supporting non-profits not only demonstrates corporate responsibility—it strengthens our entire region.
We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker will be Abish Dominguez.

Abish is an accomplished civic leader and community organizer specializing in youth advocacy, strategic volunteer mobilization, and cross-sector collaboration. Leveraging her deep roots in faith and community engagement, she brings diverse groups together to drive regional impact. In her role as the JustServe Specialist for the northeastern Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, she focuses on bridging the gap between municipal needs and volunteer resources, with a strong emphasis on empowering the next generation.
With over 30 years of organizational leadership experience, Abish has built an extensive background in directing large-scale youth programs and cultivating community coalitions. Her leadership footprint includes:
· Strategic Community & Non-Profit Partnerships: Forges robust alliances with regional non-profits, local food pantries, and municipal leadership—including the cities of Sachse, Wylie, Garland, and Richardson—to coordinate large-scale service initiatives and establish sustainable support pipelines for vulnerable populations.
· Educational & Student Advocacy: Championed student-centered initiatives within the regional school ecosystem, serving as the VP of Programs for Cooper Junior High and Chair for PTA Student Programs at Draper Intermediate, alongside executive roles as Diversity & Inclusion Chair and Volunteer Chair for the Wylie ISD Council of PTAs.
A proud mother of five, Abish specializes in bringing diverse coalitions together, dedicating her career to uniting non-profits, civic entities, and the next generation to build a stronger, more connected community. She firmly believes that strategic volunteerism and community service build the essential bridges of understanding and unity needed in our world today.
