About Us
Chefsville’s mission is to provide life-skill education such as cooking skills, critical thinking and problem solving. Empowering kids in the kitchen, classroom, and beyond by connecting cooking with math, science, language arts and social studies. Building stronger families and communities. The life-skills taught bring about a higher degree of confidence to those learning these skills, more closeness to the family unit, which in turn builds stronger communities.
Our programs increase the quality of life by giving families a chance to grow together and make connections around food. It has been shown in study after study for over 40 years that strong families can make it through difficult times without abuse, violence and neglect. Strong families are empowered with the ability to hit problems head on in order to overcome them. Strong families keep kids in school, low teen pregnancies, low crime rates, and score high on problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Chefsville serves families in the North Texas area specifically the Dallas Metroplex. Our programs have been in over 200 schools in Dallas; 20 public schools and community centers in Tarrant County; and over 45 schools in Collin County. Chefsville programs are engaging over 9,500 kids a year.
