About Us

Toastmasters is a Nonprofit Organization dedicated to helping its members grow as public speakers and leaders. We meet once per week on Wednesdays from 7pm-8:15pm to give speeches and evaluate each other. Consistently achieving President's Distinguished club status each year (the highest level possible), Wylie Wisecrackers is in the top 5% of all Toastmasters clubs in the world (out of approximately 15,800 clubs). If you have any nervousness when getting in front of people to speak, we can definitely help! Our meetings, each & every time, teach each of us techniques on how to change our physical mannerisms, our vocal volume, our "filler words", etc to become the professional-sounding speaker inside each of us. We are non-judgemental when suggesting improvements and allow each member to set their own individual pace on giving speeches. We also provide each new member an experienced mentor to assist them one-on-one for their first six months. We are a very diverse organization with members from all corners of the globe, both recent immigrants and longer-term residents, who are anxious to become better public speakers and leaders. We provide that opportunity. Plus, as our name implies, we have lots of fun at our meetings and make many long-term close friends. You won't regret joining us!
