DESCRIPTION:What is Relay For Life? Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. It is put together by volunteers in the community. There are over 5\,000 events worldwide and almost 50 in North Texas alone!! Relay For Life of Wylie/Sachse/Murphy is a 12-hour event with over 900 people in attendance! For one night\, participants on teams take turns walking or running around the Shaffer Stadium to raise money in the fight against cancer. We relay like this\, overnight\, once a year in the Wylie\, Sachse\, and Murphy communities to show that for one night we will not sleep because cancer never sleeps! We will keep doing this until cancer is no more!!
